The hostel is in the heart of the old city, with a fantastic location close to cafes and souvenir shops. The building itself is cozy and cute, and the public facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and living room with board games, are great. The room I stayed in was spacious and had lockers for storage. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Some noise from other guests late at night can be a bit disturbing.

I recently stayed at Castanea in the heart of Gamla Stan. The location was perfect, allowing me to easily explore the area on foot. The hostel was exceptionally clean, and I appreciated the large storage lockers provided. What really stood out was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Every guest I encountered was warm and greeted me with a smile. The communal spaces, such as the kitchen and common area, were great for relaxing and socializing. Room 15, situated downstairs, was spacious and opened up to a lovely inner courtyard.

The location of Castanea Old Town couldn't be better, right in the center of the cute little square in Gamla Stan. The hostel itself is spotless, with comfy beds, good showers, and a well-equipped kitchen. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the privacy in the clean toilets and shower rooms was not a problem at all. The hostel also offers luggage storage after check-out, which was a thoughtful gesture for our family with small children. we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend it.

Although the common area was nice, it was a bit too quiet and lacked activities to encourage interaction between solo travelers. It would have been nice to have some music or a TV to create a more lively atmosphere.

The hostel's location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to the nearest grocery shop and close to the Nobel Museum. The old building added a cozy charm to the atmosphere, and the lockers in the dorm room made me feel secure. I appreciated having a power socket next to my bed, and the well-equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze. The staff were super friendly and the hostel itself was quiet and clean. The hot floor in one of the shower rooms was a nice touch, and the unique floor plan added to the overall enjoyment of my stay.
